The ingredients needed to make Jackfruit onion dosa:
  1. Take 1 bowl ripe Jackfruits
  2. Prepare 3 cups dosa rice
  3. Get 1" ginger
  4. Prepare salt to taste
  5. Prepare 2-3 onion
  6. Take 1/4 cup jaggery(option)

Later i wanted a dosa with J. Thanks to PJ, i got this idea of Jackfruit Dosa - Savory version and paired it with Breadfruit Chutney. PJ gave me the idea of making jackfruit appam or breadfruit bajji. Though i made up my mind for the appam, i wanted to give a final try if there is any dosa with jackfruit.

Instructions to make Jackfruit onion dosa:
  1. In a bowl and rice wash & soak it 4 hour or hole night
  2. Cut and removed the seeds of Jackfruits
  3. Grind smoothly ripe Jackfruits, ginger and rice,if required add water (thick bater)
  4. Transfer the batter into a vessel.
  5. And add jaggery and mix it well(it is option).and closed lid
  6. Leave it 1 or 2 hour for fermentation
  7. After fermentation add salt and finely chopped onion and mix it well
  8. Heat tawa and pour the batter and spread.(set dosa type) add ghee, and closed lid.
  9. Cook both sides
  10. Remove and serve chutney / chutney powder,curd or jaggery syrup/honey.

Ponsa Polo is a very simple breakfast. In Konkani, Ponosu means ripe jackfruit and polo means dosa (crepes). I got this recipe from my mother. This is my favorite dosa and it had been ages since I had this. This is my first try in making it and the first bite was the tastiest one:-) Rinse the peeled jackfruit.
